Thankfully, there’s more to look forward to in November than the election around the corner. The world will go on, and here’s some of the good things that will happen!
🏒 Catch a Game (Indoors) 🏀
With baseball in the rearview mirror and Boise State’s home football games sold out, winter sports have arrived. The Idaho Steelheads will drop the puck at Idaho Central Arena for a three-game home stint starting Nov. 13, and another starting Nov. 27. But if ice isn’t your thing, maybe the hardwood is — Boise State women’s and men’s basketball seasons start this month.
- Early litmus tests: For the women’s team, the Nov. 10 Colorado game should be a good one, and so should Clemson on Nov. 17 for the men’s.
♨️ Hit Some Springs
November will be brisk, but not too cold to get outside as long as your plans involve moving a lot and/or soaking yourself in hot water.
☕ Keep Sampling the Fall Drinks
We rounded up a list of these recently, and now we’ll add the Butternut Latte from Slow by Slow and the browned butter chai from Caffeina.
🛍️ Shop, But Make it Small
Small Business Saturday is Nov. 30 after Black Friday, but you can hit the markets — both brick and mortar and one-off — all month long!
- Don’t miss: The Wintry Market on Nov. 22 - 23 at the Boise Centre.
🍲 Lean on Friends for Thanksgiving
There are simply too many things to cook and bake this month! So buy some prepared sides or get a Thanksgiving feast catered.
- Our picks: Certified’s Thanksgiving menu is available now through Nov. 17, and you can order a la carte. You can also get sides from A’Tavola, or an entire eight-person minimum meal.
⛸️ Wander Caldwell’s Winter Wonderland
The Winter Wonderland’s opening weekend is Nov. 22 - 24, and a special festival will fill the Indian Creek Plaza to kick off the season. So lace up some ice skates, get inspired by the lights, and enjoy the entertainment!
- Get ahead: Book your ice skating session ($7 a person), now through Feb. 15. Alternatively, Glide on Grove in downtown Boise is free and opens Nov. 29.
