The Nov. 5 general election is now less than a month away, and races up and down the ballot will determine the future of our local, state, and national governments.

Can’t remember if you’re registered to vote? Confirm if you’re registered in Idaho, here.
If you’re not currently registered to vote, don’t fret: You can register to vote on Election Day at your polling location by providing proof of residency and a valid state ID or driver’s license.
📮 How to Vote with an Absentee Ballot
Absentee voting is becoming more popular, secure, and easier with every election. You can request an absentee ballot on the
VoteIdaho.Gov website
until Friday, Oct. 25, by 5 p.m. In order to qualify, you have to be a registered voter, and have a social security number and an Idaho driver’s license or state ID.
In Ada County, you can drop off your absentee ballots at drop boxes at the following monitored locations:
- Ada County Elections
- Meridian City Hall
- Boise City Hall
- Eagle City Hall
- Kuna City Hall
- Star City Hall
⏰ How to Vote Early
Early voting is available in both Ada and Canyon counties until Friday, Nov. 1. In Ada County, you can complete early voting at the following locations, regardless of your address, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- Boise City Hall
- Meridian City Hall
- Kuna City Hall
- Eagle Public Library
- Ada County Elections
- Library! at Bown Crossing
☑️ How to Vote In-Person

. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Be sure to bring your driver’s license or state ID with you.
If you requested an absentee ballot but decide you want to vote in person instead (who doesn’t want a sticker?), remember to bring your mail-in ballot to surrender at the polling location. Then, you’ll receive a regular ballot to fill out instead.
