The sun is out and mentally, the whole City Cast Boise team is on a patio (although we love what we do). So to make sure we find the best patios, 103.5 KISS FM’s Mateo helped round up your options on the podcast with host Lindsay Van Allen.
Mateo’s spent time on plenty of Boise patios, so he knows what to avoid — though the debate over whether misters belong on patios will continue indefinitely. Most of the options listed have alcohol-free cocktail or beer options now, which makes them much more accessible for more people.
For someone looking to branch out and find a patio to call their own, Matio recommends starting at 8th Street and going from there. It’s the only place in town with a row of patios on either side of the street, and it’s the place to be since the city shut 8th Street down for cars (thanks for the silver lining, COVID).
I think [visiting patios] is a great way to dip your toes into being social again because you see people you haven’t seen in a while…we’re all coming out of hibernation together.
