A look at Boise’s dining scene this week shows a lot of closed doors, unfortunately. But there’s at least one new restaurant that we’ve got our eyes on.

🥐 Black Moon Open 🍕

A new one-stop-shop for pastries and pizza is now open in Garden City. Black Moon, which opened yesterday at 3709 West Chinden Blvd. (right next to Section 37 Axe Room, on the same block as the North End Organic Nursery), will serve pizzas in the evenings, Wednesday through Sunday, until they’re ready to open for pastries in the morning. We’ll check it out soon to let you know what we think!

Downtown Zeppole Closed

Zeppole’s 8th Street storefront closed after its two employees quit last weekend, according to BoiseDev. The owner plans to reopen the store, and the larger location on Apple Street remains open.

🦀 SEA Closes After Short Stint

Just a block away from Zeppole, the short-lived SEA Crab House closed after opening just three months ago. The chain took over the former Flatbread Pizza space in the Zions Bank Building downtown, and served seafood boils to the tune of at least $100.
