🚰 Boise River Dam Being Upgraded

The state is upgrading the Ridenbaugh Diversion Dam, which is just upriver from the Boise River float put-in at Barber Park. The dam primarily supplies irrigation and flood control, and is nearly 100 years old. It’s an area of the river that has required a lot of fix-ups recently; this summer, the bridge right below the dam needed emergency repair and it will be replaced entirely next year. 🏳️‍⚧️ Trans Athlete Lawsuit Must Continue

A federal district judge in Idaho ruled that Lindsay Hecox cannot remove her lawsuit against the state’s anti-trans athlete ban this late in the lawsuit, which began in 2020. The judge argued that the state has the right to resolve this lawsuit as it could land at the U.S. Supreme Court. [Idaho Statesman, City Cast Boise]
