Flipside Fest is Treefort’s Kid Sister
Boise’s music scene has evolved a lot in a decade. When Treefort Music Fest started in 2012, it was this very homegrown thing from a newly formed company called Duck Club, with mostly local music fans checking out mostly local and regional bands. Today, Treefort is still homegrown — but it has matured a lot while helping to put our music scene on the map. Every March, the festival brings thousands of people to downtown Boise — many from out of state — to see indie bands from around the world.
But there's a new festival from Duck Club Entertainment that's truly made for us locals. Host Frankie Barnhill chats with Duck Club CEO Eric Gilbert all about the new Flipside Fest, which is going down this weekend (Sept. 23-25) in Garden City. They also chat about what makes this moment better than ever for Boise’s music scene.
