Even at the height of the pandemic, one of the best holiday traditions remained available to everyone with a car: driving around and looking at lights.
There are public displays like the tree at the Grove, experiences like Winter Wonderland in Caldwell, and always the trusty, DIY at-home designs. And I recently learned about Boise Christmas Lights, a group that compiles lists of light displays around the valley, categorizes them, and puts them on a map.

This map is frequently updated with new displays, so keep checking back for new ones! (Boise Christmas Lights)
They’ve got you covered with displays synced to music, community displays, and, soon, will have pre-made driving routes to take you to all the hits.
So make some hot chocolate, get in the car, and see what your neighbors have put up! If they inspire you to put up your own lights, you can send it in to Boise Christmas Lights to be featured, too. (Keep a lookout in your City Cast Boise podcast feed for an interview with the person behind the Christmas Lights.)
