A few of the happenings in Boise’s dining and drinking scene: A new burrito spot is rolling, non-alcoholic drinks get gamified, and a wine bar all about friendliness prepares to open.
KB’s at the Warehouse
The beloved Idaho burrito chain KB’s, which opened its first restaurant in Ketchum three decades ago, has opened a location in Boise. It’s the company’s second attempt at a Boise spot, but this time, it’s in the Warehouse Food Hall downtown.
The Warehouse is open Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday - Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Temperance Trail
Over 60 businesses are participating in the Temperance Trail, a local effort to highlight and normalize non-alcoholic beverages. Free Spirits Beverage Co. — one of the leading spaces and advocates for NA drinking in Boise — organized the effort, and created a “passport” to track which locations you’ve visited.
Once you get 11 stamps (by the end of January!), you get a free drink and an entry into a drawing when you return your passport to Free Spirits.
Prepare for Parcero
A new wine bar is coming to Garden City in February, BoiseDev reported this week. Parcero Wine Bar is owned by the same folks behind Hops & Bottles in Boise’s Linen District. ‘Parcero’ is a Spanish word used in Colombia to refer to a group of friends or a common hang out spot.
It’ll feature plenty of wine and a small menu of breads, meats, cheeses, and croquetas. Located at 3301 West Chinden Blvd., Parcero will be right across the street from Roots Zero Waste Market.
