The Depot Bench is one of Boise's oldest neighborhoods, full of history and distinctive views. As a Caldwell girl, I was eager to spend the day in this neighborhood. To help me navigate the day, I used this Boise Depot Bench map to explore the area.
Taking on Latah St.
I hopped on I-84 and made my way over to Primal Coffee. Dare I say it's better than Push & Pour? I mean, both are great, but I loved the cozy, funky living room atmosphere this coffee shop has. The barista easily convinced me to try their Primal Latte — no regrets. It was delicious!
I grabbed my latte and crossed the street to the Morris Hill Cemetery. I had never walked through a cemetery before, but with the spooky season right around the corner, it just felt right. I was impressed by the large layout, unique headstones, and the deep amount of history this cemetery holds.

Right after my cemetery stroll, I crossed Latah again to go to LA Junk Antiques, a shop full of eclectic antiques. This hidden gem has a unique setup, leading you from shed to shed; I could have spent hours in this store picking up every single trinket. P.S. Looking for vintage Halloween decorations? This is the place to shop!
To wrap up my time on Latah St., I grabbed lunch at Wyld Child and sat outside on the large patio. I had a cheeseburger with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was good, but I'm still thinking about those sweet potato fries with ranch as a side sauce, of course.

Boise Architecture
After a tasty and filling lunch I was ready to see Boise’s special views, so I went to the Boise Depot and admired the homes nearby. If you’re a fan of Architectural Digest videos, you’ll love admiring the architectural history this neighborhood has to offer.

Thrifting Scene
Don’t sleep on the thrifting and vintage scene the Depot Bench has to offer. I did some shopping at:
New to the neighborhood is Urban Cowboy Vintage, and this shop blew me away. The interior design is stunning and the selection of clothing is large. They even offered me espresso while I shopped. Espresso and vintage? What more could you ask for? As much as I wanted to buy everything, I left with a wool blazer to style this fall season.

The Depot Bench neighborhood surprised me with its eclectic vibe — it’s worth spending a day exploring this area.
