We’ve previously covered the legislators representing Boiseans in the Idaho Legislature. Most of our readers live in Boise, but for the Meridianites, Nampans, Caldwellians, and more who tune in regularly, here’s how to find who represents you at the statehouse.

Each of Idaho’s 35 legislative districts elect a senator and two representatives. You’ve only got three names to know, so here’s a breakdown.

Use the interactive map above to find your specific district, which will also show you your representatives and senators.

With plenty of small exceptions, the valley’s districts generally contain the following cities:

  • District 10: Middleton, Star
  • District 11: Caldwell
  • District 12: Northwest Nampa
  • District 13: Southeast Nampa
  • District 14: Eagle, Emmett
  • District 20: Northern Meridian
  • District 21: South-central Meridian
  • District 22: Southern Meridian, some southwest Boise
  • District 23: Kuna, all the way to the Oregon and Nevada borders

In the Senate

While Boise isn’t the bluest of blue, it certainly remains more so than the other urban areas of the Treasure Valley. Except for Sen. Chuck Winder in District 20, all Treasure Valley senators outside of Boise are joined by fellow Republicans in the House.

Here are the senators who live within the borders of Meridian, Caldwell, or Nampa, or represent a district with any overlap with those cities:

  • District 10: Sen. Tammy Nichols (R)
  • District 11: Sen. Chris Trakel (R)
  • District 12: Sen. Ben Adams (R)
  • District 13: Sen. Brian Lenney (R)
  • District 14: Sen. C. Scott Grow (R)
  • District 20: Sen. Chuck Winder (R)
  • District 21: Sen. Treg Bernt (R)
  • District 22: Sen. Lori Den Hartog (R)
  • District 23: Sen. Todd Lakey (R)

In the House of Representatives

Here are the Representatives who live within the borders of Meridian, Caldwell, or Nampa, or represent a district with any overlap with those cities:

  • District 10: Reps. Mike Moyle (R) & Bruce Skaug (R)
  • District 11: Reps. Chris Allgood (R) & Julie Yamamoto (R)
  • District 12: Reps. Jeff Cornilles (R) & Jaron Crane* (R)
  • District 13: Reps. Brent Crane* (R) & Kenny Wroten (R)
  • District 14: Reps. Ted Hill (R) & Josh Tanner (R)
  • District 20: Reps. Joe A. Palmer (R) & James Hotzclaw (R)
  • District 21: Reps. Jeff Ehlers (R) & James Petzke (R)
  • District 22: Reps. Jason Monks (R) & John Vander Woude (R)
  • District 23: Reps. Tina Lambert (R) & Melissa Durant (R)

*They’re brothers! Imagine those holiday gatherings.
