We’re in the homestretch of this election season, but it will get more rowdy as the clock runs down. You can clear up one important question about your vote today: where to vote.
Due to redistricting, your polling place may have changed from the last time you voted — mine did! — or maybe this is your first time voting.
You may have received a mailer from Ada County giving you your precinct, congressional district, and legislative district numbers. But if not, or you lost it, here’s a step-by-step process of figuring it out.
1. Enter your address into this online tool from Ada County that will tell you your precinct number, and if your precinct has changed.
2. Then use their polling place locator to find where you will vote. Note: if your polling place and details aren’t coming up, try putting in your address again but include your city and ZIP code. I only put my street address the first time and it didn’t work, but it did once I added the ZIP code.
3. From there, I recommend finding your sample ballot, either by selecting “View Details” on your address, or by clicking “View All Ballots,” and scrolling down to select yours.

- This Friday is the last day for online voter registration or updates to your registration. Check if you’re registered correctly here.
- If you don’t register online, you can still register and vote in person on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.
- You can also vote early between Oct. 24 and Nov. 4.
